Digital business cards
for more sustainability

As an employee of HUESKER Inc., I have had the pleasure of attending numerous networking events and conferences, and I would like to share an idea with you: let's make sustainability our top priority by introducing digital business cards!

Networking in a modern and sustainable way

At HUESKER Inc., we strongly believe that we practice environmental awareness and sustainability in everything we do. So, when it comes to networking and sharing contact information, I prefer digital business cards over physical ones. Did you know that 88% of paper business cards are thrown away? By using digital business cards, I reduce paper waste and  can ultimately contribute to a greener and healthier environment.

Acting flexibly and efficiently in our dynamic digital world

I have two goals in doing so: firstly, I want to protect the environment and secondly, I want to make networking more efficient and convenient for everyone involved. Contact information can be shared effortlessly directly via the smartphone app or a QR code, via email or NFC. It's quick and easy and ensures that my data isn't forgotten in a bag or lost in a sea of paper.

Zero waste – the better choice for our environment

Nowadays, the job title changes quickly and the business card is no longer up to date. What happens to the old business cards? These probably end up in the trash. Not very sustainable! Digital information can be easily updated without having to print a new version, saving time and money.

High level of acceptance

I can understand that some people still prefer physical cards, even if they are offered the digital card. For such situations, I always have a handful of physical cards with me. I have used the digital business card at various conferences (Battelle Sediments Conference 2023, ATA Geosynthetics Conference 2023, SME Conference 2023) – and in most cases, the response to a digital business card has been overwhelmingly positive and open-minded.

Yours, Trevor
